Vanessa Carlton Chose Her Own ‘House of Seven Swords’

Vanessa Carlton’s single “House of Seven Swords,” from her latest album “Liberman”, was inspired by a single tarot card and the college graduation of her younger brother. Carlton also feels the song is a personal anthem:

“At the same time, the song is absolutely a message to myself, too, probably.”

“Liberman,” released in October 2015, is Vanessa’s fifth studio album.
