Lily and Madeleine Jurkiewicz, an Indie-folk pop sister duo from Indianapolis, brought their sweet and heartbreaking melodies to the Troubadour in West Hollywood on May 10th. The girls were supported by their friends Shannon Hayden (cello, guitar, mandolin, synth) and Kate Siefker (drums, percussion, synth, bass) — Shannon and Kate also opened the night with beautiful multi-instrumental harmonies.
Lily & Madeleine started the night with fan favorites “Not Gonna,” “Hourglass,” “Hotel Pool,” and “In the Middle” – “Hourglass” and “Hotel Pool” are their newest singles from their latest album Keep It Together. Lily & Madeleine wrote the songs on Keep It Together a little differently than before — the girls decided to write separately, then fused and revised their individual songs together, which produced a really personal body of work for the two.
Lily & Madeleine managed to almost effortlessly mesmerize the audience through their entire set. Their fans were so pleased they continued to chant ‘one more!’ when the girls walked off stage after their encore. It’s apparent Lily & Madeleine are a force of nature who will continue to enthrall their listeners.
We spoke to Lily & Madeleine last month about the songwriting process behind Keep It Together, their influences, and more — check that out here.
Keep It Together was released in February 2016 and is Lily & Madeleine’s third full-length album.
