Rituals Of Mine Recruit Madame Gandhi in Official Video For ‘Armor’

Rituals Of Mine (formerly Sister Crayon) is an electronic duo from Sacramento consisting of Terra Lopez and Dani Fernandez. They’ve toured with The Deftones and have released a split EP — of David Bowie covers! — with Inspirer faves, Warpaint.

The new video for their song Armor was released today. Armor features fellow LA-electronic artist Madame Gandhi on percussion. Madame Gandhi is the moniker of Kiran Gandhi, a badass chick who ran the London marathon while menstruating in an attempt to deplete the stigma of what is pretty much one of the most solid facts of life.

The video was included in a personal essay by Lopez entitled This is What Being Catcalled Feels LikeArmor opens with a poem — Pulpit — that was also written by her.

Rituals Of Mine is currently in the studio working on their record.

A proudly queer, freelance music journalist, Em splits her time between Durham and London. When she's not at a gig, mouth-agape, she'll be camped outside of a Parisian bistro taking photographs of strangers. The little pleasures in life are the most meaningful to her: Her dog, family-and-extended, and Milkybar buttons. Her motto -- a snippet from Alexander Pope's Essay on Man -- is, "hope springs eternal."
