11 Years Ago Amy Winehouse Released the Hit ‘Rehab’

On October 23, 2006, singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse released her lead single and title track “Rehab.” The internationally acclaimed song would become Winehouse’s first and only Top 10 single in the U.S. “Rehab” was written about her openly public issues with substance abuse and her answer to both her father and management who wanted her to get help. It earned Winehouse three Grammy awards, and has remained popular since she lost her battle with addiction. Winehouse died July 23, 2011, from alcohol poisoning. She was 27 years old.
