Listen to Yeah Yeah Yeahs ‘Fever to Tell’ Outtake ‘Shake It’

Listen to Yeah Yeah Yeahs ‘Fever to Tell’ Outtake ‘Shake It’

The last time we had an album from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs was in 2013 with their fourth album, Mosquito.

After a barrage of photos from the early noughties hashed as #tbt, we were left wondering what was going down in the YYY camp. Were we putting too many eggs in one basket? Or, like, putting the record on the right RPM setting when you’re trashed? Were we just hoping something was gonna happen? After enough stipulation, the band announced four shows in October and November.

Pretty soon after, the band also posted a new song entitled Phone Jam. Phone Jam opens with the audio clip from a  phone call of Karen O talking about her and Nick jamming, apparently from the early years. It’s pretty cool.

“Wait….. #FeverToTell Tomorrow”

Shake It came with an announcement that there’d be a reissue release of Fever to Tell. It’s a callback to pretty much everything that was magical about the 2003 record that featured indie-mainstream anthem, Maps. Fever to Tell was an album that might as well have attended fucking Hogwarts. It’s magic – magic! (This acoustic version of Maps is still one of my go-to things to play on guitar. Zinner is so good).

Pre-order the Fever to Tell Remastered Vinyl or the Limited Edition Fever to Tell box set (which is $200 but totally fucking worth it) now.
