Watch Stevie Nicks’ Haunting Performance of ‘Rhiannon’

When Nicks and then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac, Nicks brought “Rhiannon” to the table as one of her contributions to the upcoming “White” album. Rhiannon is a name Nicks fell in love with while reading Mary Leader’s novel, Triad. The whimsical, witchy tune has been played on every tour Nicks has been a part of since it’s release, and has become one of the bands most recognizable songs. From 1975 to the early ’80s, Nicks would introduce the song saying: “This a story about a Welch witch.”

“Rhiannon” was released as a single in February of 1976, and would peak at number 11 on the US charts.
