Watch Aldous Harding’s Intimate Triple R Performance

Watch Aldous Harding’s Intimate Triple R Performance

What if my moon gets caught up in her waning?

— ALDOUS HARDING, WHAT IF BIRDS AREN’T SINGING, THEY’RE SCREAMING

Aldous Harding visited Melbourne’s Triple R performance space for a performance of What if Birds Aren’t Singing, They’re Screaming.

The live-to-air set aired during Out On the Patio, a Triple R program dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the best music that’s coming out of Australia and New Zealand. Presented by Monique Sebire.

There aren’t a lot of words that do Aldous Harding the justice she deserves. At least not to me, and God knows, I’ve tried twice. My advice is just to kick back, watch the video, and feel what’s in you to feel.

Then, come and tell me what that is.

Check out more Triple R performances and interviews at their website.

A proudly queer, freelance music journalist, Em splits her time between Durham and London. When she's not at a gig, mouth-agape, she'll be camped outside of a Parisian bistro taking photographs of strangers. The little pleasures in life are the most meaningful to her: Her dog, family-and-extended, and Milkybar buttons. Her motto -- a snippet from Alexander Pope's Essay on Man -- is, "hope springs eternal."
