The Breeders New Album is Coming Out and We Are Living for ‘All Nerve’

The Breeders new album is coming out at the beginning of March and features the original line-up. Josephine Wiggs, Jim Macpherson, and Kim and Kelley Deal on one record again? Yup. If you’d have said this to me last year, I would’ve told you to stop fucking around. But it’s true, and today the band announced the March 2 release with the title track, All Nerve.

When they released the track Wait in my Car late last year—a track that was originally on the soon-to-be-returning Inspirer Radar for October but life got ahead of me—we were left wondering if it was a standalone release or if there was something more. A not-so-quiet rumbling of distortion in the distance, if you will.

Turns out there was more, and the band has been working quietly on the new release since their reunion for the 20th Anniversary of Last Splash back in 2013. Now, the time is here, and you can listen to All Nerve from The Breeders new album here:

The album is already available for pre-order via 4AD, and to psych yourself up, you should watch The Breeders MTV studios show from 1993 right now!

A proudly queer, freelance music journalist, Em splits her time between Durham and London. When she's not at a gig, mouth-agape, she'll be camped outside of a Parisian bistro taking photographs of strangers. The little pleasures in life are the most meaningful to her: Her dog, family-and-extended, and Milkybar buttons. Her motto -- a snippet from Alexander Pope's Essay on Man -- is, "hope springs eternal."
